This week we released the first song from the upcoming March 10 album. It’s called “Like it’s the Last One” and is a rootsy, uptempo, tune about living life to the fullest, and squeezing the most out of each day. Here’s the Lyric Video we posted on youtube for you to listen. Stay tuned for more songs to come from this new recording. I found it really difficult to choose which song to release first because there isn’t really ONE song that ‘represents’ the recording – rather there’s such a variety across the tracks. I just described the recording as a 12-course meal where each song has a unique flavour and individuality but they all sit really well, side by side. Hope you enjoy. Jeffery
Happy new year to you! I hope it’s started with gusto. I’m excited to be releasing new music in 2015 and my album ‘North Star Falling” is set to launch March 10. In advance of that, the first single will be released January 27. I’m looking forward to getting this music out to your ears. Stay tuned for more details, a list of national tour dates, and info on how to pre-order the album. Excited! cheers Js
I’m back in Canada after a 2 week tour of Peru. I LOVED Peru and can’t wait to get back. It’s such a beautiful and fascinating country. Shows were great, media coverage of the tour was fantastic and we squeezed in some tourist time too. Machu Picchu was incredible. Thanks to Creative Saskatchewan and FACTOR (Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings) for supporting the tour. Now, with only 12 days until Christmas it seems like a good time to share my holiday single I released last year. If you like it please share with friends by facebook, email or twitter — Comin Home for ChristmasCheers! ho ho ho. Jeffery
I’m on tour from Nov 25-Dec 9 in Peru with shows in various cities (Lima, Cusco, Trujillo, Piura). Lucky to have my trusty guitar man side-kick Brodie Mohninger along with me on this trip. Thanks to both FACTOR (Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings) and Creative Saskatchewan for helping make the tour possible. Check my facebook music page for some updates during the tour.
Thanks to the voters in the annual Prairie Dog (Regina SK) Readers Poll, I’m honoured to be chosen ‘best solo act’. Big congrats to fellow nominees. Awesome!
I’m excited to be part of the line-up of singers interpreting the songs of Billy Joel & Elton John Nov 12 & 13 at Toronto’s amazing Koerner Hall. This is going to be a stellar night, produced by Toronto’s Acting Up Stage Company. Heads up: the 2 nights are close to sold out so get a ticket fast. Info & Tix Info can be found BY CLICKING HERE. This is going to be a great night of tunes.
I’m releasing my new “Live with CBC Radio” album Sept 6 at the Mae Wilson Theatre in Moose Jaw SK. Thanks to the Regina Leader Post for the story about the making of the album – CLICK HERE TO READ. Also, progress on my new studio album has been great! More on that new recording soon!
My new studio album is making some great progress. It’s been a delight to work with the talented mr Dean Drouillard as producer and the musicians we’ve assembled to play on the record have been outstanding. We’ve finished the Toronto recording sessions (Rogue Music Lab) and the Regina SK sessions (Studio One / Jason Plumb) and now move to some home studio work. It’s really coming together. My sister Jill dropped in to the Regina studio to sing some backing vocals recently (photo) and it’s all sounding mighty. A huge thanks to FACTOR, SaskMusic and the Saskatchewan Arts Board for enabling this album. Stay tuned for updates about when we’ll start to share some of the tunes.
These are very exciting times as I’ve started recording a new studio album. The producer I’m working with is the talented Mr Dean Drouillard and our first recording sessions were in Toronto at The Rogue Music Lab. Dean assembled a solid team of ninja-like musicians and we’ve now laid down the foundation of the album which I’m really loving! The process has been wonderful and I look forward to adding in more magic to the recording including several sessions in Regina SK at Studio One. A huge thanks to FACTOR, SaskMusic and the Saskatchewan Arts Board for enabling this album, and to all the musicians who have played on it. Everyone is bringing their A game and the results so far have been fantastic. Stay tuned for updates about when we’ll start to share some of the tunes! selfie: Dean Drouillard (producer), Mark Mariash (drums), js, Steve Zsirai (bass), James Paul (engineer).
