JUNOfest Appearance - Mar 31 10pm

I’ll performing at JUNO-fest in Saskatoon, Sat Mar 31, 10pm Vangellis Tavern (Broadway Ave). Come on out to the 45 minute set if you’re in town. JUNO-fest wristbands are $25 (pass for whole weekend) or admission to an individual act (such as mine) is $10. I’ll be doing the set with band, and will feature songs from the CD as well as new ones from the upcoming album. C U there. And remember - this weekend, bars serve til 3am and are open to 4am….

If an outrageous ticket price has ever kept you away from one of these shows: This Wed night - you can catch us for FREE (!) at Bushwakkers in Regina SK (Dewdney Ave). It’s part of their FOLK-NIGHT series. Music will be from 9-11pm (with a break in the middle to drink some beers)…. Interview and Songs: CHAB radio 800 Sat/Sun 6pm

If you’re in Southern Saskatchewan listen in to CHAB 800 AM (out of Moose Jaw) this Sat and Sun night at 6pm (Mar 3&4). Lori Dean interviewed me for her half hour weekend show. She’s going to spin a few songs from my last album “Songs from Highway 15″ AND excitingly she’s going to be giving the radio debut to a brand new Straker-song ‘Flat Lines’. I’m really excited to ‘birth’ this song to radio! It was really well received on my US tour and is the flavour that my new album is going to take.

Regina house concert this Sat Mar 3rd - a few seats left!

Here’s a great opportunity to hear some brand new songs this Sat night (Mar 3rd-7:30pm) - performed on a beautiful piano by myself and backed by my sister Jill. It’s a house concert! If you’ve never been to one, it works like this - a host invites people into their home for an intimate evening of experiencing music up close like never before. You can bring a drink, a snack and settle in for the show. There’s a donation of $10 that goes to the musicians. It’s an excellent experience. I’ve done quite a few of these and love doing them.
