Thanks to South-West Sask!
October 23, 2006
Thanks to all who came out to the shows in SouthWest Sask this weekend. We had a great time at both venues. The Saville Theatre Sat night was an amazing venue - located at the Spring Valley Guest ranch near Eastend (if you are looking for an interesting new vacation destination - CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!). Thanks for your hospitality Jim! The Hazlet (Sask) show on Sunday in their huge hall was also a good time - great audience. Terry and Lana - thanks for all your help - and the fowl supper kept me full all the way back to Regina. But I think I could have had more flapper pie??….. Stay tuned for some new 2007 concert announcements, as well as news about some upcoming shows in Nov 2006.

Thanks to everyone who attended the 2 shows this weekend. The concert at St Peter’s Abbey in Muenster was a great night - with their concert grand piano in fine form & full band along for the show (drums/bass/ cello/backing vox). Thanks Maxine for all the local promo. And Folks in Elbow SK were, once again, a great room to perform to. THanks Marjorie and Wayne (”Howard”) for hosting the show @ the Chinook Winds, and of course thanks to the Gary and Norma for putting us up in the beautiful, new B&B (The Lakehouse B&B). THis was our second time in both Elbow and Humboldt since July - and we hope to get back soon!
Unique show concept a success in Ituna Sask!
October 4, 2006
We were able to try out a new, unique show concept at a recent show in Ituna SK. Since the concert took place in Ituna’s historic cinema, we were able to take advantage of the HUGE screen behind us during the performance. We projected images of the prairies onto the screen, to go with some of the songs and it was a definite hit. With some of the photos of the sweeping landscape you could hear the crowd ‘actually’ gasp when the image came up! It was pretty cool. We hope to be able to repeat this in the future. Thanks to the Skrips and their beautiful theatre for the wonderful afternoon.
